Spider-Man Adventure Ride (Disney Parks)

Role: Contract Technical Artist – Particles & Shaders
Duration: 2–3 months
Engine: Unreal Engine 4 (Cascade, limited Niagara)

I contributed as a contract technical artist on Spider-Man Adventure, an immersive ride experience developed in Unreal Engine 4 and deployed in a custom cave projection system. My primary responsibilities included creating and refining real-time particle effects and shader materials in collaboration with both Disney teams and external contractors.

One notable effect I worked on is the green energy connector particle trailing behind Spider-Man during key sequences. Most effects were built using Cascade, as Niagara was still in early stages at the time and used selectively across the project.

This experience required balancing performance and visual fidelity for a real-time theme park environment, ensuring smooth playback across multiple screens and projection surfaces while maintaining creative intent.
